My cat, Lulubelle, content but not at all godly!

Scripture: 1 Timothy 6:6—”Godliness with contentment is great gain.”

My Response: Father, You have provided all I need, and I thank You. Where I have more than I need, I should use it to help others—whether food, clothing, money, or time. I thank You so much for the provision of a large enough home for extra members of my family, and for enough time to write for You and do things like quilt-making to bless my grandchildren.

Yet I am concerned: Are there other things You would like of me?

God’s Whisper: Beloved, you have not yet spent all your time and energy blessing others. Look to older women and see how they have used their senior years to be My hands and reach a desperate world. Pour out love with an overflowing, generous heart. Do not hold back or make excuses, as My disciples did the day I fed 5,000 with two small loaves and a few fish. Trust Me to multiply all that You give Me.

Prayer: Yes, Lord Jesus! All I have is Yours! Please give me a more thankful heart. Help me to be more aware of the needs of others and to joyfully share Your blessings—physical, emotional, and spiritual. Amen.
