MOVING MOUNTAINS
Moving a Mountain
Scripture: “Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you” (Matthew 17:20).
In the Jewish culture of that day, a mountain represented a great difficulty. Could the “mountain” that suddenly loomed before me be moved?
My prayer: Father, my mountain this morning—my great unsurmountable difficulty—is over a friend to whom I must say “No.” This is so hard. I don’t want to lose her friendship, but I know I must not continue helping to her detriment. Please give help, strength, and wisdom.
What I felt God speak to my heart: “My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9).”
Before the day ended, the problem was solved and the friendship unbroken!
