The Message of the Rainbow
Scripture: And God said, “. . . I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth (Genesis 9:12-13).
How often have we viewed a rainbow and thought fleetingly of God’s artistry? Yet it is so much more!
Rather than just a pretty sight in rain-swept skies, the rainbow is a picture of the incredible love and grace of God. Its very shape and name tell us that He has taken our punishment. A bow is a weapon, poised to shoot a deadly arrow. The rainbow is pointed, not toward us, but toward heaven itself. Its ugly arrow was let fly in 33 A.D. on Calvary, and it flew directly into the quivering, bleeding heart of our Heavenly Father (John Bugg, Sermon Central).
God’s grace—so much more amazing than any song can express, available to one and all through Jesus, our beloved Savior!
During a discussion in London some years ago, the question was asked, “Why is Christianity different from other religions?” C. S. Lewis walked in at that moment and quickly answered, “That’s easy. It’s grace.”
Grace—greater than all my sin!
Prayer: Father, please give me a greater awareness of Your incredible grace. Let this understanding permeate my heart and guide every aspect of my life. Amen.

You really make it seem so easy with your presentation but I find this topic to beactually something which I think I would never understand. It seems too complex and very broad for me. I am looking forward for your next post, I will tryto get the hang of it!

Thanks for reading! It’s beyond my comprehension too.
